Founded on the concept of providing affordable and convenient health options to the community. As of 2021, Body Energy Club is a thriving business of 15 local stores and 150 employees which still holds its core value with a strong commitment to its community. Body Energy Club is a one stop shop for all nutritional supplements, vitamins, smoothies, and healthy food options.

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Brand / Supply Chain Manager to oversee and expand our private-label brand in supplement and sports nutrition. This dual-role position requires a strategic thinker who can manage the supply chain of our private-label products, track inventory and stock levels, and develop the brand in collaboration with Body Energy Club (BEC) to ensure its continued success. The ideal candidate will also ensure our health and wellness products meet Health Canada compliance standards, including labels, claims, and ingredients. This role may also include a procurement schedule for other vendors as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Brand Management:
        • Collaborate with BEC to develop and enhance our private label brand, supporting its growth and market reach.
        • Ensure all products comply with Health Canada regulations regarding labeling, claims, and ingredients.
        • Coordinate production of new labels with a team of designers, translators, and reviewers.
  • Supply Chain Management:
        • Oversee and manage the supply chain for all private label products, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
        • Track product velocity and maintain optimal stock levels to meet market demands.
        • Monitor and forecast inventory needs to prevent stockouts and manage ingredient supply issues proactively.
        • Issue and track purchase orders (POs) to maintain a consistent and reliable supply chain.
        • Confirm the receipt of orders, match invoices to POs, arrange shipment and 3PL communications
  • Inventory & Demand Forecasting:
      • Forecast demand proactively and address any potential stock shortages by coordinating closely with suppliers and internal teams.
      • Identify and manage ingredient supply issues, ensuring consistent availability for production.
    • Adapt to evolving business needs by supporting various tasks and projects beyond primary role duties, collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive company goals, and enhance team effectiveness.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Flexible schedule availability is required for all applicants during business operations Monday - Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm 
      • Full-time hours can work 40+ hours a week
    • Maintain constant punctual attendance and contribute to positive team morale 
    • Must be able to come in under short notice (i.e. on-call situations)
    • Inventory management experience preferred

     

    Education/Certifications:

    • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Project Management or Business Management

     

    Experience:

    • 8+ years of experience in retail management, preferably within the health supplement or wellness industry, demonstrating strong business and product management skills.
    • 5+ years of experience in the health supplement industry with deep knowledge of market trends, emerging ingredients, and customer preferences.
    • Must have extensive experience in nutraceuticals and private-label contract manufacturing.
    • Proven expertise in identifying and launching innovative, market-leading products, with the ability to drive product strategy and make data-driven assortment decisions.
    • Background in business management, product development, or similar roles within health, wellness, or related fields.
    • Retail experience at Body Energy Club with a demonstrated understanding of company policies and procedures is strongly valued. Hospitality experience is an asset.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills 
    • Deep understanding of current trends and advancements in the health and supplement industry, with the ability to identify and develop new, cutting-edge SKUs.
    • Strong market research and analytical skills to anticipate customer needs and emerging product opportunities.
    • Proactive in staying informed on industry developments and leveraging insights to influence product strategy and innovation.
    • Ability to translate industry trends into actionable product ideas that align with brand vision and consumer demand.
    • Must be able to work under moderate supervision and troubleshoot the team’s questions/concerns
    • Passionate about Body Energy Club products and leading a healthy lifestyle (preferred)
    • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.

     

    Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

    • Occasional travel to multiple store locations to support on an as-needed basis
    • Requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette
    • Requires extended sitting at a computer or other connected device
