Cacao was once so revered by the Mayans and the Aztecs that it was used as currency. Obtained from the whole cacao bean, cacao butter is a nourishing edible oil containing healthy fats along with a host of antioxidants. Cacao butter is obtained by pressing the beans at low temperature, thereby separating the oil from the protein and the fiber. There are no chemicals or solvents used in the process. Organic Traditions artisanal Cacao butter is Certified Organic, gluten-free and kosher. With its chocolate aroma and silky smooth texture, it makes the ideal, decadent chocolate butter for both culinary and topical applications.
Allergen Information: Produced in a facility that packages tree nuts (Almonds, Hazelnuts and Cashews). The facility is dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free and peanut free.

Internal Use
Add Organic Traditions Cacao butter to smoothies, cacao drinks, raw superfood desserts and all other chocolate treats. If not using a blender, you may need to melt the cacao butter prior to use. Make your own artisanal chocolate bars using other Organic Traditions superfoods such as Maca X-6, Goji berries, Aronia berries, Maqui powder and Vanilla powder. Combine Organic Traditions Cacao powder, Cacao butter and Cacao paste at roughly equal ratios to achieve the desired consistency and thickness and slowly melt under low temperatures. Add any Organic Traditions superfoods of your choice and an Organic Traditions sweetener such as Organic Traditions Yacon Syrup or Coconut Palm Sugar, spices and pink Himalayan salt. Place into a mold or an ice cube tray and refrigerate until solid.
External Use
With its incredible emollient properties, use the butter as a beauty treatment. Rub a small piece of butter in the palm of your hand and apply to the skin or slowly melt the butter in a sauce pan. Use as is or add essential oils of your choice. Cacao butter is the most incredible moisturizer, lip balm, cuticle cream, stretch mark and cellulite aid, hair and scalp treatment, sensual edible massage oil and aromatic bath oil.
